Bathroom Tray
Many years ago I purchased this metal bathroom tray. Over the years it has become a bit tarnished and worn on the flat surface. I do not have the room on my guest counter for a large square tray so I though I might just give this one a little up date.

Name Your Baby Wisely
I really wish people would think long and hard when naming their baby. I remember when my sister worked for an agency many years ago where she saw the names parents gave their children. There were some that were harmless and funny, and then there were some that were sad. Sad that they chose to saddle their child with a name that would cause them problems by teasing and maybe even bullying. Is it that important to these parents to seem witty and different at the expense of the welfare of their child?

California Monkey House
On our trip to California in December we stayed in a Vacation rental. We went on a well known website for rentals, did some research, read the reviews and chose a house in Newport Beach. I will refer to his house as the "Monkey House".

Happy Birthday Thoughts
Today is my birthday! I love Birthdays! Holidays are great but Birthdays are my favorite. Not just mine but Birthdays in general. What could be better than to celebrate that you were born and got to spend one more year in this world.
Now when I say I love Birthdays, I mean LOVE them. I love planning parties, gifts, trips..... I start thinking about my birthday weeks in advance in anticipation of the day. It is not gifts that I look forward to, or dinners, well maybe the cake, lol, but I just love having the day for me.
We had a little pre-birthday celebration on Sunday during the Super Bowl. We had cake and ice cream during half time and I blew out my candles and made a wish. And low and behold it came true, Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl!!!! A wish sacrifice for "My Boy" Peyton!
When I was working in Indiana at a Middle school we made sure that all our coworkers had a celebrated Birthday. We would have a potluck, fun gifts, surprises at times, and a day of making them know we were just glad they were born.
When it comes right down to it, that is what a Birthday celebration is all about, letting someone know that you were happy they were born. In a few weeks we will celebrate my Grandson's 3rd Birthday and his birth was one of the greatest gifts ever. How could you not Love celebrating such a wonderful day letting this special boy know how happy we are that he was born.
So, on this day, even though I have a nasty cold, I am going to enjoy every minute of every hour, doing some housework, watching my sweet Granddaughter, and going out to dinner with my husband. All along just being happy that I was born!

What Did You Say?
I got busted a few weeks ago singing the wrong lyrics to a song. OK, be truthful, we all do it. You are just singing along using the lyrics you have sung to the song forever and someone says, "What did you say?" You stop and try to think of what is was that you just sang that was wrong. Well, I was singing along to Boston's "Peace of Mind" in the car with my Husband, Son and his Girlfriend. Mind you, I had no idea that the name of the song was "Peace of Mind", because if I had known I would not have gotten the lyrics wrong.
